Masergy Partners With Cisco to Enhance Global UCaaS

Masergy has expanded its global UCaaS offering to include collaboration endpoints from Cisco’s 8800 and 6800 series.
Masergy said the news highlights its “continued commitment to accommodate a variety of IP phones that are certified with its feature-rich global UCaaS and cloud contact center offerings.”
“Today’s global workforce requires advanced collaboration platforms to drive increased productivity,” said Dean Manzoori, Masergy‘s vice president of product management for UCaaS. “As enterprises rapidly incorporate cloud-based unified communications services, Masergy is leading the way to include a flexible portfolio of IP phones with the most dynamic feature set available.”
Masergy global UCaaS offerings coupled with IP telephones provide enterprise users with: a localized calling experience; a global unified dial plan; voice, video and instant messaging with contextual correlation; built-in disaster recovery with advanced automatic failover; and user-friendly management via cloud-based tools and real-time analytics.
“Customers have different needs — some need an entry-level phone for moderate activity while others need a high-end one with up to 10 lines,” said John Lamarque, Cisco‘s director of product management for IP phones. “But they all share a common need for quality, reliability and security, and the Cisco brand delivers that. We are excited to work with Masergy to bring our solutions to its customers.”
Earlier this summer, Masergy launched its Masergy Connect. Bundled with global UCaaS, the new mobile app is optimized for business communications by extending single number reach, fixed mobile convergence, and high definition voice and video capabilities to mobile workers.
