GCI implements major SfB project
Cost reduction and remote working were key drivers behind a complex multi-site international project undertaken by GCI for global law firm Osborne Clarke, delivering Skype for Business Enterprise Voice to 1,600 employees.
GCI implemented a hybrid environment housing the existing on-premise system and hosted Skype for Business platforms, as well as the new GCI Skype for Business solution.
Another part of the project was to replace the ISDN estate with SIP connectivity thereby lowering running and call costs, and bringing greater reliability and flexible with improved DR and business continuity features.
Mike Ayres, CCO at GCI, said: “Very few customers we work for have green field sites and most require elements of working with existing technology and hybrid environments. This adds to the complexity, which is where GCI’s expertise comes in.”
